SHORT TEXT
Taktplan brings the date lists of several music ensembles such as orchestras, choirs, bands and clubs, as well as music schools and universities, together in one calendar. Strictly speaking, it is four apps in one: scheduler, timetable planner, concert planner and annual overview, all working with the same dates. The web app is aimed at conductors, choir directors and music teachers who work in several places, and shows clashes before dates are confirmed. It was developed by conductor and music educator Ricardo Döringer; a beta test is currently running.

LONG TEXT: CONDUCTING
Anyone who conducts several music ensembles receives a separate date list from each of them at the start of the season, each laid out differently. Taktplan puts them in order along the course of a season, from upbeat to coda. In the Upbeat, the app reads the lists as Excel or CSV files and takes over only the dates that concern you; in preparation are the sync with club apps such as Konzertmeister or ClubDesk during the season and, ✦ with Claude, reading Word and PDF files. In the Score, all dates are then stacked on top of each other like the parts of an orchestral score, with calendar weeks, school holidays and public holidays for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Taktplan flags clashes between two ensembles by itself, already at the stage when dates are still being agreed and are easy to change. Then the Parts are handed out, and everyone gets their share: the month printed on A4 or as PDF, text or a calendar file. In preparation are a permanent link to Apple or Google Calendar, released concerts on your own website, the next few days on a wall display and separate access through which management or family see exactly the part you release. On the Podium, the conductor prepares rehearsals and concerts, with a “rehearsals until the next performance” view, to-dos with a rehearsal as the deadline and annual reminders; a rehearsal sheet for every rehearsal is in preparation. For the concerts themselves, Konzertplan is in preparation: in the concert diagram the conductor arranges a programme by its effect, with climax, interval and encore, and copies the finished order into the performance’s programme with one tap; the rehearsal plan then works with it. The Coda at the end of the season, an annual overview of rehearsals, performances, trips and kilometres for tax purposes, is in preparation. In total, Taktplan has more than 30 features, which are being unlocked step by step during the beta test. Taktplan is a web app: it runs in the browser on computer, tablet and phone without installation, keeps all devices up to date and is available in German, English, French, Spanish and Dutch. Dedicated apps for iOS and Android are not ruled out for the future. It was developed by conductor, instrumentalist and music educator Ricardo Döringer out of his own schedule. A beta test by application is currently running; it will be followed by an open beta with a one-year access for €10 including VAT, which does not renew automatically. The final version comes in two editions as a one-year access for individual users without automatic renewal: Solo €24, Tutti €49 including VAT; anyone who took part in the beta pays half in the first year.

LONG TEXT: TEACHING
Anyone who teaches at one or more music schools and also conducts ensembles or performs has a fixed weekly timetable plus rehearsals, concerts, student recitals and staff meetings. Taktplan brings both together in one calendar: the date lists of the schools and ensembles, with school holidays and public holidays for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, and your own timetable. You enter the timetable once, line by line or copied from Excel; a tap on the lesson day shows who comes when. If a student comes on a different day for once, only that one lesson is moved and the timetable stays as it is. For make-up lessons, Taktplan looks for free slots in the whole calendar, up to the end of the month, semester or school year, already taking rehearsals and the other schools into account. Attendance and absences stay in the music school’s own administration. Before the new school year, Taktplan collects the preferred times online: every student gets their own link and taps when they can come. The timetable generator keeps showing where it gets tight, works out the plan from all the replies and adds it to the timetable at the push of a button. Students and parents see only their own preferences; Taktplan stores first names only and no contact details. The timetable and the timetable generator with preferred times are in preparation and will be unlocked during the beta test. FROM UPBEAT TO CODA
Upbeat (date lists and timetable): Taktplan reads the date lists of all bands and schools as Excel or CSV files and takes over only the dates that concern you. Parts (pass on your dates): Everyone gets their share, as an A4 printout, PDF, text or calendar file. In preparation: the calendar link, concert dates on your own website, a wall display and separate access for management and family.
On the podium (prepare rehearsals and concerts): Rehearsals until the next performance, to-dos with a rehearsal as deadline and annual reminders.
